Zhou Yongkang's residence at his hometown in Jiangsu Province has become a hotspot since the government announced inquiry into the former security chief on July 29. Waves of tourists and reporters swarmed to the Xiqiantou Village of Wuxi City in Jiangsu to get a glimpse of Zhou's dwelling. The village covers an area of over 10 hectares with most of its villagers surnamed Zhou.

Xiqiantou Village is the hometown of Zhou Yongkang.

Local villagers swim in a river surrounding Zhou Yongkang's house, which is a white two-story building.  Zhou's younger brother Zhou Yuanxing and his wife used to live in the house.
