Village life in Taihang Mountain

Traditional villages, the sites of traditional Chinese culture and deep nostalgia, are dying fast in China with rapid urbanization and industrialization. In his photographic works, In the Distant Mountain Villages, photographer Wang Shuzhou keeps a record of the people and folk life of villages in North China′s Taihang Mountain in the 1980s, which is rarely seen in today′s China.
