China’s Zhejiang to hatch a ‘Taobao’ for industrial sector
An industrial Internet platform called ‘supET’ developed mainly by Alibaba Cloud was launched Wednesday at the 5th World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit. 
The platform has also been elected as one of the top scientific achievements at the Wuzhen event. “It will serve the broader industrial sector and is expected to become the of the sector,” an official with the Zhejiang provincial government told, a Shanghai-based news portal.  
As a major province for manufacturing and Internet industry, Zhejiang spearheaded innovation initiatives in the industrial Internet field. 
At the last World Internet Conference at Wuzhen, the Zhejiang provincial government had signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to develop industrial Internet. This year, the Zhejiang provincial government decided to specifically boost what’s called “1+N” system. 
It’s known the “1” refers to the supET industrial Internet platform built under the leadership of Alibaba Cloud, while “N” refers to a series of leading industries including petrochemical engineering, automobile making, electronic manufacturing, shipbuilding, textile and garment, engineering machinery and supply chain logistics.
Hu Xiaoming, the CEO of Alibaba Cloud, told by 2025, the supET platform will carry 30 different industrial platforms, develop 100,000 Apps for industrial use, make 200 million equipment connected and serve 300,000 businesses. 
Hu indicated the is to be put online by the end of the year, which is forged as a trading platform like Taobao.
